NASA Space Research and You
We worked closely with NASA and Lucas Film to create Space Research And You, a suite of museum presentations that seamlessly combine live performers with virtual environments to communicate space science via interviews, animation and live audience participation. The presentations are designed for public venue audiences of about 50 individuals; at museums and science centers. Each presentation involves a live presenter on stage, seamlessly interacting with a real-time virtual environment and co-host (R2D2 from Star Wars), and facilitating audience participation activities while informing them about space research through video, animations, graphics, and hands-on demonstrations. Space Center Houston is using Space Research And You as an on-going presentation for daily school group visitors. Robert Burgess former CEO of Adobe nominated Del Padre’s “Space Research And You” for inclusion in “A Search For New Heroes” the On-Line Archive of the Computerworld Honors Program. Nominated in the Education and Academia category, the project case study has earned a permanent place in global history at the more than 150 libraries, museums, and universities worldwide.

Lego Virtual Showroom
Lego has been a longtime client of Del Padre’s, starting with the Virtual Showroom, or VSR. The VSR completely re-did the way Lego sale agents conducted business. The VSR became a Swiss Army knife of sorts to them, allowing them to show samples, broadcast media, sales documents, and create orders while the irons hot. According to Jill Provencher, national merchandising support manager for LEGO, “The Virtual Showroom has in many ways altered the traditional sales call of our Field Sales team. This system has moved the focus of the Field selling initiative from a paper-based environment with many limitations to a computer-based environment with limitless possibilities. “The professional presentation, integration of multimedia, and efficiencies created within the order and delivery process has made a major impact on the Sales Department and how we sell product to our customers,” added Provencher. “The reduction in sample expenses and customized paper presentations has also been an added benefit.”
